Miss Daisy Chewing on her bully stick. She gets to have one, once a month to help remove the plaque and tar from her teeth. Since she won't let me even get close to her mouth, we found this the best way to get her teeth clean. How do you keep your dogs teeth clean?
Them bully sticks are great and last a long time.
ReplyDeleteSheba.
Our guys get various chews to work them clean. They are seniors though, so there's always a certain amount of tartar.
ReplyDeleteI give Gracie a CET treat (from the vets) every day, and now brush her teeth with CET toothpaste at night before we go to bed. I had never done this before, but it seems her gums are getting worse with age, so had to get diligent! Also, sadly, now have to have her teeth cleaned twice a year.
ReplyDeleteThe bully stick looks great!
Hi sorry to hear you have dental problems with Gracie. You should try Slurp n' Fresh Oral solution. You just add it to their drinking water and it helps reduce plaque & tar and their breath will also be fresh. I just got a great review from Marilyn one of my customers her vet said what every she was doing to keep it up. That was the only thing she changed. What ever you do we wish you the best. http://ledfootspetbakery.com/Slurp-N-Fresh-Pet-Oral-Hygiene-Solution-P3039161.aspx
DeleteI brush Mr. N's teeth and he gets raw bones and we're trying out a new supplement for tartar. The vet always praises his teeth.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome keep up the good work.
DeleteOh do I miss chewing treats :-( Happy BlogPaws WW. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteYou will one day soon. Keep on healing.
DeleteDidn't know Bully Sticks were good at cleaning plaque, good to know! :) I usually give Niles some antlers to chew on, also she gets her teeth cleaned at the Vet.
ReplyDeleteOooh! That treat looks like it is really yummy. I don't have any dogs, but my kitties like treats that clean their teeth too.
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky! I get my teeth brushed and rinsed at least 3 times a week or more since I was a puppy. Afterwards, I get a nylabone (Plastic!) to chew on to further clean my teeth. I have never gotten a bully stick... enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHi Piranha, we use to use the plastic nylabones too. But after our dogs destroying them with in a week. Seemed more a waste of money to us. We found a long lasting replacement and we now use antlers. They can last up to 6 months or longer. We are going on 15 months now.
DeleteI give my dogs a little bit of raw food with their dinner and the occasional Z-Bone to scrape the tartar the raw food loosens.
ReplyDeleteGood question. we dont brush k9 teeth here so raw bones is our effort to get the juices salivating & hopefully less plaque...
