Natural Flea and Tick Dog, Cat Repellent

So many people have asked me about a natural flea & tick product they could use on their pets, but it wasn't available until now.

Alzoo products are 100% natural using plant based ingredients, geraniol, peppermint oil, cinnamon oil, lavender, almond oil & citronella. The ingredients are safe for your pets and effective at repelling fleas, ticks and mosquitoes. This products Does Not contain PVC, Bisphenol, Phthalate or Synthetic pesticides! Alzoo stands by its products and believes that repellents should not have pesticides or any unwanted and dangerous chemicals to be effective. That makes Alzoo products safe for children, pets and the environment.  The best part it has a pleasant smell. The Spot-on Treatment for dogs is easy to use.  Just apply on skin between the shoulder blades. The product spreads onto the whole body through sebum diffusion which provides protection for 1 month.

Unlike conventional chemical collars and spot-ons, ALZOO products are made to be combined. Choose a collar, spot-on, or both for the proper level of protection.
If your pets are just going in the back yard then spot on will be fine and give you medium protection.  If you take your pets in wooded areas the recommendation to use both spot on and the collar for maximum protection. I love the fact that it is easy to use and inexpensive compared to chemical brands. Alzoo products have been tested and approved so you can have piece of mind in knowing you and your pets are protected.
Ledfoots Pet Bakery now carries Alzoo natural flea & Tick products for cats and dogs. For more information on where to purchase Alzoo products just click on this link Natural Flea & Tick

Wordless Wednesday- Homemade Dog Treats!

Homemade dog treats are the best. These pupcakes are made with pumpkin and frosted with non-fat yogurt. Testing out new recipes this week and our taste testers just loved them. The best part our dog with a very sensitive stomach can have them. Since we don't use any preservatives or fillers, which make her sick, it does make a big difference. Feeding Daisy natural dog food and treats is the only way to go. We are very happy with our choice. What food and treats do you feed your pets?

Flea & Tick Season is Almost Here- Are you protected?

Spring is finally in the air and now it's time to worry about those pesky bugs. Especially ones that can harm us and our pets. Flea and tick season is just around the corner here in IL. If you live in the most southern states such as Florida, it is a year round task. So we are lucky only to have to worry about it for several months.  Check out the map above to see when you are affected by fleas and ticks in your area.

There are natural products made with essential oils to help fight fleas and ticks. We have tried the wipes by Pets Natural and you must coat your dog from head to paw in order for it to be effective. Then in several days you must re-apply. It's a lot of work if you are pressed for time. Being so busy with Ledfoots Pet Bakery just don't have the time. We do use Front line recommended by our vet. I don't like putting chemicals on them, but we don't have fleas or ticks. Our dogs get Fleas Be Gone Dog Treats. These homemade dog treats are healthy and full of bug fighting ingredients which are all natural. Giving them their daily dose I have noticed mosquito's staying away from them and attacking us. Must eat our dogs treats. LOL

Most importantly find what works best for you. If you have the time use the natural products which are safer and healthier for you and your pets. If you do go the natural route it's recommended that you give them Fleas Be Gone Dog Treats for added protection.

Easter Bunny Dog Treat-Wordless Wednesday Hop

Easter Bunny Dog treats are decorated with yogurt and colored with strawberries. Ledfoots Pet Bakery are very proud of these treats. As we love to create the best healthy treats. We are working on new colors which are natural and won't use dyes of any kind. For the frosting, its just nonfat-yogurt and we don't use any sugar like other bakeries do to make them harden. We let ours harden the natural way.  Dogs should not have sugar at all. So why give it to them.  Our motto- If it's not good enough for our pets then it's not good enough for yours.

Happy Wordless Wednesday!

Pet Safety Tips for Easter

Easter is this Sunday. Where is the time going? Just can't believe it is spring and the spring holidays are here. We love to celebrate this time of year. And our pets can enjoy the holiday too. We just need to make it safe for them. Here are a few tips to keep your dogs and cats safe.

1. Keep the fake grass away from them. Cats and dogs like to chew on this. It can make them really sick, so use paper instead. You can shred green tissue paper and it will make your Easter basket look good.

2. Our cats love to chew on plants so be careful if you purchase Easter lilies. They are very toxic to cats. So find a safe place for them, so they won't be disturbed or just don't purchase them and be on the safe side. Better safe then sorry!!

3. Keep those Chocolate bunnies away. Chocolate is toxic to both cats and dogs. It's ok to have in the house, just keep it out of their reach.

4. Plastic Easter eggs are also a hazard. If they chew and swallow a piece it may indicate that you have to go to the vet to have it removed. Which is very expensive and something you don't want to go through. So keeping those plastic eggs away is a must.

Have a Happy Passover and Happy Easter!
