Tail Waggin Tuesday!

It's been a real busy summer. With the farmers markets and all the pet events we have worked. Summer has gone by way too fast. Today is Tail Waggin Tuesday in East Dundee, IL. The event is today August 19th starts at 5pm and last until 7pm. Pictured above was a training demonstration they had last month. Today they are going to have the training demo once again! Come out and enjoy your evening.

With the busy Farmers Market season here. I have found no time to blog since the season started.

We have been very busy and excited to meet new friends in the pet world. Today is the day I picked to blog. No time left in the day but I made time this week. Tomorrow we will be at Dekalb Farmers Market. So if you live or in the area I would love to meet you. I am working on more informative blogs and hope to blog once again next week. Stay tuned!

Dog and Cat Olympics

 If they held Olympics' for Dogs and cats. What sport would your dog or cat be good at?

It would be amazing if there was such an event. I imagine it wouldn't be anything like Westminster dog show, which is going on right now. I can see fastest licking contest, best catcher events, like Frisbee, tennis balls, best rollover. What event would you like to see? This could be so much fun. All breeds welcome especially mixed breeds. Maybe one day we will see something like this. Would you participate?

Pet Safety Tips for Easter

Easter is this Sunday. Where is the time going? Just can't believe it is spring and the spring holidays are here. We love to celebrate this time of year. And our pets can enjoy the holiday too. We just need to make it safe for them. Here are a few tips to keep your dogs and cats safe.

 

1. Keep the fake grass away from them. Cats and dogs like to chew on this. It can make them really sick, so use paper instead. You can shred green tissue paper and it will make your Easter basket look good.

 

2. Our cats love to chew on plants so be careful if you purchase Easter lilies. They are very toxic to cats. So find a safe place for them, so they won't be disturbed or just don't purchase them and be on the safe side. Better safe then sorry!!

 

3. Keep those Chocolate bunnies away. Chocolate is toxic to both cats and dogs. It's ok to have in the house, just keep it out of their reach.

 

4. Plastic Easter eggs are also a hazard. If they chew and swallow a piece it may indicate that you have to go to the vet to have it removed. Which is very expensive and something you don't want to go through. So keeping those plastic eggs away is a must.
