Great and safe dog bone chews!

Everybody keeps asking us for rawhide bones but I have to tell you from personal experience they are not good for your pet friend.  They are not digestible. Our poor dog Daisy had some removed from her stomach. Our vet. recommended to use nylabones instead. Which we did try, but I didn't like the fact that she was chewing on plastic. Not very natural. Our search for an all natural chews began. What we found is these braided bully sticks. They are made out of all natural beef muscle and because they are braided they do a great job cleaning their teeth. I now give my dogs bully sticks at least once a month just to keep their teeth clean.

We also found antlers for dogs. Yes thats right deer antlers. They are a renewable resource since the deer sheds them. The bone marrow inside makes your dogs chew for hours. They also don't break or splinter which can be a great concern. Antlers can last up to 6 months before they wear down and you have to replace it. A great investment to make since your not replacing it every week. http://ledfootspetbakery.com/10-12-Giant-Premium-Antler-Free-Range-Dog-Chew-P1278338.aspx

Happy Thanksgiving! Keep your pets safe learn what Not to feed them.

It's Thanksgiving and we are getting everything ready for our big feast. As we get ready our two dogs Daisy and Scooby Doo always like to help. Really they are just waiting for me to drop something on the floor so they can eat it or clean it. lol
Here is a small list of foods you should not feed your pets. First on the list is Chocolate which contains methylxanthines and can cause vomiting and diarrhea, panting, excessive thirst, seizures and even death.
Macadamia nuts which are commonly used in baking and can cause the same symptoms as chocolate.
Grapes and raisins can cause kidney failure.
Onions and Chives can cause gastronintestinal irratation and could lead to red blood cell damage.
Milk which causes diarrhea and who wants to clean up that mess.
Salt can produce excessive thrist and something called sodium ion poisoning  in pets. So keep those potato chips out of reach and anything that has a high sodium content away from your pets.
We just named a few of the bad foods for our pets but this should get you on the right track.
Happy Thanksgiving! Wishing you a safe holiday from http://www.ledfootspetbakery.com/

Ledfoots Pet Bakery Blog

Allow me to introduce ourselves. My name is Susan and I  have been baking since I was a child. My love for our pets and baking turned into a business. Our first dog Daisy would always get sick from the store bought treats. After a lot of research I discovered all the bad fillers they put into store bought dog treats and food. Sugar was the first ingredient on the box of one treats we were giving her. And people wonder why their dogs are putting on the pounds. All Natural is a lot better for us and our pet friends. We make and deliver healthy homemade pet treats. All natural dog treats and cat treats. We believe in giving our pets the best products on the market and you will find them at our online pet store.    http://www.ledfootspetbakery.com/
